Youth League on Zuma
The ANC Youth League President Julius Malema says that the ANC President Jacob Zuma will not receive a fair trial and an urgent intervention is necessary.
Listen to Malema addressing the media during a press conference at Luthuli House in Johannesburg on Thursday.

I feel the same that his trail will not receive fair trail as the scopions want to destroy him in his political field. This was and is nothing but a political thing to stop him from being the next President. You could see that from the beginning President Mbeki released him with immidiete effect while others are given a chance up untill is proven that they are gualty but for him it was a defferent issue.
Kenyi Yasin
It is a right an idea that the scorpions planned with some Mbeki supporters to prevent Zuma from becoming the next president of South Africa throught allegations of corruption which is absurd and dangerous act. According to me the trial should be postponed after the general elections next year.
Zuma deserves to be president of South Africa for his service in the ANC and South Africa.

I think this is a big mess. We are facing a complicated political and constitutional crisis. Whoever started this (and i still believe in those JZ-TM conspiracies) must be a geniuos in causing trouble.God be by JZ side.
Go youthleague go!!

In US politics Zuma would not have lasted 10 minutes! Before Zuma there was a glimmer of hope for Africa but with very little moral fibre that too is now gone. Strong confirmation for the realists.

I think now it is proper for the youth league to focus less on the Zuma saga and concentrate on capacitating the youth of South Africa. As a youth I’m tired of leaders who use gains the spot light by using our president’s name (Zuma). Julius, the youth is being faced with a huge nemesis like lack of skills, drugs and crime to mention a few. Stop acting judge and do what you were elected to do, which is to address matters that concern the youth.
As for Len Hagen, u r making a huge mistake in comparing S.A politics with the U.S. let us tell u because it seems you lack knowledge, the U.S political scandal are even worse than S.A’s.

IT A BLATANT FACT THAT,MSHOLOZI(JZ) WILL NOT GET A FAIR TRIAL FROM THE JUDICIARY.
ONE CAN NOT FORGET THAT,ALL THE SCORPIONS INVESTIGATIONS STARTED EIGHT YEARS AGO AND AND IN 2006.
THE NPA WAS GIVEN A CHANCE BY THE COURT OFF LAW TO PROVIDE THE COURT WITH A COMPLETE INDICTMENT IN ORDER FOR JZ’S CASE TO CONTINUE.THEY FAILED TO PROVIDE THE COURT WTH A FINAL INDICTMENT AFTER SIX YEARS OF INVISTIGATION.
HIS RIGHTS HAS BEEN GROSSLY COMPROMISED,I’M TALKING ABOUT THE RIGHT TO A FAIR AND SPEEDY TRIAL.THE COURT SHOULDNT BE EVEN ALOWING THIS CASE TO SIT BECAUSE,THE ANC PRESIDENT HAS BEEN DENIED JUSTICE AS A RESULTS OF THE DELAYS.
MBEKI AND HIS CREW MUST KNOW THAT WE ARE WATCHING ALL THEIR DIRTY TRICKS,WE ARE PREPARED TO SECRIFIES WITH OUR LIFES IF THIS NONSENCE CONTINUES.AS FOR THE COMMENTS MADE BY THE RACIST EARLIER ON,WE DONT EVEN HAVE TO CRACK OUR HEADS BECAUSE ITS A PARRAFIN AND SPRITE COMPARISM THAT IS MADE THERE.

what was said by j[vuvuzela] malema will bring doubt to many citizen that jz might be guilty more especially at a whereby the are allegations that cape judge president john hlophe tried to convince judges to rule in favour of msholozi

I think that it is only fair for the ANC Youth League to call for the removal of charges levelled against the ANC president. This is so because ‘justice delayed is justice denied’. Do you remember prima facie evidence? Why in this day and age do we find such vociferous people who are hell bent on discrediting JZ the president of the ANC and the president in waiting for SA? The ANC has publicly declared that JZ will be the new face that the ANC will be using in the elections in 2009. If that is the case then it is only fair to give the man time to campaign for the victory of the ANC in the upcoming elections. People have spoken, let their will be honoured. Where is procedural fairness in this debacle. You must further read between the lines on villifying allegations against Judge President Hlophe, a complaint registered through the media instead of institutions that are designed for that. This is done by the custodians of our Constitution. I don’t see any impartiality in the ruling against the pending trial of JZ. Amandla!!!

I am surprised how people can compare SA politics wiyh that of the US. America has been practising democracy for as long as I remember. We are in a learning curve, maybe with your input we will get there.
Truth
The likes of the Great Walter Sisulu and Govan Mbeki taught us that it is very correct to be unpopular in defence of a principle. They charged its not you who gets unpopular but the principle. If the charges faced by any person in South Africa surely our judiciary shall not fail our constitution. President Mandela set a precedent as a sitting president to appear before court and in the same proceedings he lost together with the late Steve Tshwete against Louis Luyt. Nothing is new here. Let JZ face the court and surely based on professed innocence the court shall not disappoint him.
As for Julius Malema, his ambitious drive to accumulate popularity through unprincipled pronouncements, he must realise he’s embarrasing all those well-respected ANC members and ordinary South Africans who support JZ. On the same vein these pronouncements shall dent JZ’s stand as a progressive nationalist and a democrat. Being a democrat entails respecting the rule of law and JZ has done pretty well in this regard. He must not be pulled into the by blind fanatism otherwise the Polokwane resolution to support the ANC President may be rendered hooliganish.
Mzilikazi
Cde. Julius is correct. Pres. JZ has been treated unfairly and the circumstances around him being charged are riddled with in consistencies. BUT:
Under no circumstances should any level headed leader insight violence. Julius, you are being irresponsible and myopic: You are leading us young people down a road we don’t want to travel.
The call to arms for protect an individual is completely irrational and is not consistent with the NDR.
WE young people will only fight for the PRINCIPLES spoken off in the Freedom Charter and for the protection of the Constitution. nothing more, nothing less……

Has anyone ever noticed that no one, and particularly the people in question themselves, ever says that Zuma or Hlophe are innocent? They only say that they are innocent until proven guilty. In fact the reason for the so called unjust delays in Zuma’s case is that he keeps putting in legal actions to hinder the process (i.e. suppression of evidence) – not the actions of a man sure of his innocence
While I don’t believe in a “political conspiracy”, but more importantly I DO NOT CARE. If one of our leaders has committed a crime, I want them to go before a court to determine their innocence. It makes no difference who brought them there or why. Contrary to what most people are implicitly suggesting above, someone is not innocent purely because the person who caught them allegedly has a grudge.
And to the juvenile people who use the knee-jerk reaction of calling people racist as a defence to any comment (Lucky Zondo does above), why don’t you try actually answer the merits of an argument for once? It is much more persuasive to a reader…

It is embarrassing to reflect on comments made by Mr. Malema, the President of the ANC Youth League. If he too weren’t embarrassed, why has it taken this long to clear the air? It is simple, he and his people were devising strategy to deal with the situation. I am aware that sometimes people think out loud, I too am guilty of the practice. This is what i refer to as the George Bush Jr. syndrome! Mr. Malema’s mentors and or advisers are also to blame, they let the brother run his mouth and oops, he now claims he did not say that! Look man we know you *&%# up, the best thing to do is to apologize. We will forgive you, but we will constantly remind you that you’re not the right calibre to lead the such a distinguished organization.
Asavela
Zuma got the presidency of the ANC carrying his charges in his bag! That chair (presidency) should UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES be used as an excuse for his charges to be dropped!! Not at all. He must face the music.
So many South Africans are corrupt coz they know they’ll just get away with it.

SIFISO, is this the point? If you were advising a foreign country as to how they should get to the heart of the matter, would you advise them just to sweep the allegations under the carpet?
Just look at what the allegations are: The Judge President Hlope, is alleged to have tried to influence Judges to rule in favour of Zuma; the President of South Africa, Mbeki is alleged to have interfered in the judicial process relating to Zuma; the former Deputy President Zuma was fired allegedly on the wrong legal basis, the NAP chiefs were systematically suspended or fired over the Zuma issue, the top tier of government all took brides.
What do you think we should do about these allegations? Lets just call for a removal! Just sweep it under the carpet and hope it goes away. Let’s get on with life!
