What is South Africa’s position on the Dalai Lama? International Relations and Co-operation Minister Maite Nkoana-Mashabane says the Dalai Lama is “more than free like any other citizen of the globe to visit our country”. The Times’ online news editor Dave Ball asked the minister’s spokesperson, Nomfanelo Kota, if this means South Africa would grant the Dalai Lama a visa.
