2009 Cape Argus race
ARRAN Brown, of Team Medscheme, won the Cape Argus /Pick ’n Pay cycle tour. The race was hit by a gale-force southeasterly which played havoc with spectators and the 35,000 riders, including Hollywood actor Matt Damon who cycled alongside former Springbok captain Francois Pienaar. Photographers Shelley Christians and Esa Alexander rode along.

this was my first attempt, and yes i completed it. i bought my bicycle during mid Jan09 and only practised for les than 8 weeks. the wind was terrible…
